Baseball Recap: Greenwood Christian Academy Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Greenwood Christian Academy challenged Bloomfield on Saturday. The Cougars lost 11-5 to the Cardinals. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Greenwood Christian Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Camden, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Camden has become a key player for the Cougars: the team is 9-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Another was Chase Comerford, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Greenwood Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Bloomfield, their record is now 8-12.

Coming up, Greenwood Christian Academy is taking a road trip to take on University at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
