Baseball Recap: Milford Comes Up Short

Milford came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Franklin Panthers, falling 15-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in April.

Milford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Marcolini, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Milford's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Franklin, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Coming up, Milford will host Taunton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Scarlet Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Franklin, they will face off against Sharon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
