The Apache Junction Prospectors will head out to challenge the Payson Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Apache Junction is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Apache Junction was handed a six-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Snowflake 4-2.

Rhett Ruiz was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Connor Trisoliere, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Payson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-2 to Gilbert Christian.

Apache Junction is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. Payson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
