Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Borden walked away with it. They came out on top against the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights by a score of 49-40 on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Braves as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

Ava Wheeler continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 60% in the last three games she's played. Riley Rarick was another key player, putting up 16 points and six rebounds.

Borden was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lafayette Central Catholic only eight assists.

Lafayette Central Catholic's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carley Barrett, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards. Barrett also grabbed seven steals, which is notable because Lafayette Central Catholic is 24-2 when she posts at least three steals, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brooke Thompson, who posted eight points.

Borden's victory bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, with the defeat, they broke their 13-game winning streak and moved their record to 25-5.

As of now, neither Borden nor Lafayette Central Catholic have any future games scheduled.
