Baseball Recap: Sycamore Comes Up Short

The Sycamore War Eagles didn't have quite enough to beat the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles on Saturday and fell 7-5. The War Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bradley Hudgens was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Perkins, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Sycamore's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Shelbyville Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

Sycamore will welcome Waverly Central at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Shelbyville Central, they are taking a road trip to challenge Dickson County at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
