The Westlake Wolverines's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They blew past Patuxent 53-28. That looming 53-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Westlake yet this season.

Westlake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Raynna Ratchford led the charge by scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Chloe Stanford was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Loss or not, Patuxent got some senior leadership from Ailish Fockler and Kendall Fean. Fockler scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals, while Fean. scored four points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Fean grabbed two or more steals.

Westlake's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Patuxent, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westlake will take on Leonardtown at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Leonardtown will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Patuxent, they will head out on the road to square off against McDonough at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
