Softball Recap: Northside Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Northside kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 15-10 to the ITW David Speer Academy Pride. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Payton Phoxay was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Yailyn Medina, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northside will venture away from home to face off against Maine East at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for ITW David Speer Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
