Baseball Preview: Sullivan Golden Arrows vs. Washington Hatchets

The Sullivan Golden Arrows are taking a road trip to square off against the Washington Hatchets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sullivan will be strutting in after a victory while Washington will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Sullivan was able to grind out a solid win over North Knox, taking the game 8-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Arrows.

Hunter Mason was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. Ben Merold was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Zach Frady, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
