Football Recap: Scott Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Scott's offense. They were outmatched by the Logan Wildcats and fell 35-0. The Skyhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The critical scores for Logan came from Luvante Kenney, Caden Justice, Bentley Williamson, Lucas Lambert, and Braydon Craddock.

This is the second loss in a row for Scott and nudges their season record down to 1-4. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 6-0 Mingo Central (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 100% over those games). As for Logan, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scott will venture away from home to square off against Roane County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Skyhawks' defense better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 44.8 points per game this season. As for Logan, they will head out to face off against Mingo Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' defense better be ready for this one: the Miners have averaged an impressive 27.3 points per game this season.
