Basketball Recap: Gloucester Comes Up Short

Gloucester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Bedford Buccaneers, falling 78-42. The Fishermen lost against the Buccaneers in their previous head to head back in February of 2025, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 61-52 score last time.

Gloucester's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Bedford, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-10 record.

Looking ahead, Gloucester will host Winthrop at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bedford, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Acton-Boxborough at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
