It was a good run, but Adena unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Unioto Shermans. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Shermans are ranked 93rd).

It was another big night for Milee Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine boards for Unioto. Smith's evening made it 16 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Hamilton, who posted 17 points.

Adena's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for Unioto, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Adena has already played their next game (against Amanda-Clearcreek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Unioto will head out on the road to take on Paint Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Unioto is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.7 points per game this season.
