Medicine Lodge's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chaparral Roadrunners, sneaking past 11-10. The high-scoring effort was just what the Indians needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Emmy Gerdes was a standout: she scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4. Avalon Theis was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Medicine Lodge now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Chaparral, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Medicine Lodge has already played their next contest, an 11-2 defeat against Trinity Academy on the 3rd. Hopefully Chaparral payed attention to the Indians' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
