Basketball Game Preview: Lyman Eagles vs. Mountain View Buffalos

After both having extra time off, the Lyman Eagles and the Mountain View Buffalos will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lyman is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Upton, who was ranked first at the time (Lyman was ranked eighth). Lyman took a 43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Upton two weeks ago. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mountain View unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak last Saturday. They took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Green River.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Lyman, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Lyman ended up a good deal behind Mountain View when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 52-36. Can Lyman avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
