 There's no place like home for Garfield, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Monday. They won by a  run and slipped past the Crestview Rebels  5-4. This was a revenge  matchup for Garfield, as the team was forced to settle for  a  7-6 loss when these two played  last Monday.
  Juliana Genovese spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and one unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side, Garfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Olivia Zicari, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Gabriel Groves, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 On Crestview's side,  Katie Lissi was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 4-for-4 with three  runs, two  doubles,  and a  triple.  Eme Cook was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4.
 Even though they lost, Crestview was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garfield only posted a  batting average of  .211.
 Garfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Crestview, their defeat was  their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 4-8.
 Garfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Crestview, they will head out on the road to  take on  Brookfield at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Brookfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.9  runs per game  this season.
