Basketball Recap: Abilene Takes a Loss

Abilene has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rock Creek Mustangs on Tuesday. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Abilene's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Rock Creek, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Abilene will host Rossville on Friday. One thing working in Rossville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Rock Creek, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Concordia.
