Petaluma took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Vintage, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans skirted past the Crushers 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lily Pardini spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Scarlett Fannin was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Petaluma's record is now 12-5. As for Vintage, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Petaluma will face off against Napa at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vintage, they will challenge Justin-Siena at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Braves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.64 runs per game on average), something the Crushers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
