Volleyball Game Preview: South Lake Eagles vs. Edgewater Eagles + Official Tickets

South Lake will square off against Edgewater at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. South Lake came up short against Montverde Academy, falling 3-0. South Lake has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

South Lake took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15, 25-22.

South Lake's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ava Fedorovich, who had nine digs and one assist, and Iris Trowbridge, who had three digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Edgewater lost 3-0 to Geneva on Thursday.

While Edgewater was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-8, 25-14.

Edgewater's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for South Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.
