Medina got themselves on the board against Our Lady of the Hills on Friday, but Our Lady of the Hills never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 12-0 win. Considering the Bobcats have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ty Jones made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Holland Cook, who scored three runs and stole two bases. Gaige Wherry also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Medina pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Our Lady of the Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Medina will be playing at home against Leakey at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Our Lady of the Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
