Soccer Recap: Waverly Triumphs

Waverly's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Groton Red Hawks.

Waverly's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Groton, they now have a losing record of 4-5-1.

Groton didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-0 loss against Southern Cayuga on the 27th. Hopefully Waverly paid attention to the Red Hawks' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Red Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
