After a string of seven wins, Colorado Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Colorado Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 25-20, 25-19.

Kendall Anderson paced Colorado Academy's offense, picking up 14 kills. Anderson got some help from Violet Judson-Arthur and her 11 assists. Nora Trembath controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Colorado Academy's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-5. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Colorado Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Peak to Peak at 6:00 p.m. on October 7. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, they will head out to take on Stargate School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
