Softball Recap: Ellsworth Comes Up Short

Ellsworth was the 9-7 winner over Altoona when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell 12-7 to the Railroaders on Friday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ellsworth saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brinklee Graetz, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another was Alivia Maher, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Ellsworth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Altoona, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

Altoona wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-4 loss against Fall Creek on the 1st. Hopefully Ellsworth paid attention to the Railroaders' game: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Railroaders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
