Football Game Preview: McMichael Phoenix vs. Reidsville Rams + How To Watch

McMichael hasn't had much luck against Reidsville recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Phoenix will venture away from home to face off against the Rams at 6:30 p.m. McMichael has given up an average of 39.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

McMichael managed to slip by Bartlett Yancey the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Phoenix were dealt a 48-16 loss at the hands of the Buccaneers on Friday. The Phoenix were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, Reidsville had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36 points) and they went ahead and made it six last Friday. They never let the Buccaneers get on the board and left with a 57-0 victory. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 361st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

McMichael's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Reidsville, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

McMichael took a serious blow against Reidsville when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 66-0. Can the Phoenix avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
