Basketball Recap: Alisal Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kike Jacinto and Misael Palafox

Alisal has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 66-59 to the Monterey Dores on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-44 back in January.

Despite the loss, Alisal had strong showings from Misael Palafox, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds, and Kike Jacinto, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The match was Palafox's 12th in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Leo Nava, who posted three points and eight boards.

Even though they lost, Alisal smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 38 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 21 offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive contests.
