Softball Recap: Colonial Beach Takes a Loss

Colonial Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 20-4 to the Lancaster Red Devils. The contest marked the Drifters' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Zayna Wolfe made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Colonial Beach's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lancaster, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Colonial Beach will challenge Fredericksburg Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lancaster will be paying especially close attention to the Drifters' game: after the Drifters face off against the Eagles, they'll take on Lancaster again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
