Volleyball Recap: Goessel Takes a Loss

The Goessel Bluebirds came up short against the Bennington Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Bluebirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Goessel was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Bennington's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-22.

Bennington found their leader in sophomore Marley Rodenbeek, who had 13 assists and four digs.

Goessel now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bennington, they pushed their record up to 1-2 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Goessel has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Elyria Christian on the 9th. As for Bennington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Marion on the 9th.
