Football Recap: Torres Toros vs. Hoover Patriots
Torres extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. They had to suffer through a 44-14 loss at the hands of the Hoover Patriots. The Toros lost against the Patriots in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 22-21 score last time.
As for Hoover, the victory got them back to even at 4-4. Considering they have won four matchups by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Cam Mobley produced another solid effort throwing for 393 yards and six TDs while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 76 yards on only nine carries. He is becoming a predictor of Hoover's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-4 when he doesn't). Pamir Olivier was Mobley's top target, picking up 117 receiving yards and three scores.
