Volleyball Game Preview: Coliseum College Prep Academy Lions vs. Madison Park Academy Trojan-Warriors

After both having extra time off, the Coliseum College Prep Academy Lions and the Madison Park Academy Trojan-Warriors will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Coliseum College Prep Academy came into their game last Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Oakland Tech, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost seven in a row.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-21, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Madison Park Academy lost 3-0 to Oakland last Thursday.

Madison Park Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-2, 25-10, 25-17.

Madison Park Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Coliseum College Prep Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coliseum College Prep Academy skirted past Madison Park Academy 3-2 in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Trojan-Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
