The R.J. Reynolds Demons will challenge the Mooresville Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
R.J. Reynolds took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over Jordan-Matthews. The result was nothing new for the Demons, who have now won three matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Porter Lassiter tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
