Hamilton (Chandler) faced adversity for the first time this season against
Chandler as they fell behind 34-13 early in the third quarter after a 97-yard pick-six from
Kamari Crawford. The Huskies responded by outscoring the Wolves 42-7 the rest of the way to pull out a 55-41 victory.
Roye Oliver III continued his stellar sophomore campaign hauling in 10 catches for 175 yards and two touchdowns. He has 27 receiving scores on the season and is three away from breaking John Henderson's state record he set in 2014. His 57-yard touchdown cut the deficit to 34-23 midway through the third quarter sparked the comeback for the Huskies.
Senior quarterback
Daniel Vaita started the second half after
Jax Sculley went down with a lower leg injury just before halftime and helped lead the comeback for the Huskies as they close out the regular season a perfect 10-0.
Junior running back
Skyler Cole gave the Huskies a huge boost in the second half rushing for well over 100 yards. He gave Hamilton its first lead of the game with an 18-yard score with 2:30 left in the fourth quarter to put the Huskies up 48-41.
The win clinched the No. 1 seed for Hamilton as they head into the Open Division playoffs. They have won seven state titles in program history but are looking for their first since 2012.

Edna Karr (New Orleans) won its 24th straight game scoring the final 35 points to close out the regular season with a 35-14 win over
Archbishop Rummel (Metairie). The Cougars head into the playoffs looking to win their sixth state title since 2016 and second consecutive Division I Select crown.
De La Salle posted its second straight undefeated regular season with a 47-15 win over
Clayton Valley Charter (Concord). Bixby hit the 70 point mark for the fourth time this year as they rolled to a 72-3 win over
Norman (Okla.). The Spartans are going for their eighth consecutive state title and 11th over the last 12 years.

Cass Tech (Detroit) cruised to a 48-8 win over
Fordson (Dearborn) in the second round of the Division 1 bracket. The Technicians improved to 11-0 and the defending Division 1 state champs won its 21st straight game. Up next is
Saline (Mich.) in the quarterfinals.
