Softball Recap: Cotter Comes Up Short

Cotter fell victim to Springfield Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Fighting Irish, falling 10-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Warriors, who until this game were averaging two runs allowed.

Cotter's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Springfield Catholic, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Looking ahead, Cotter will be playing at home against Forsyth at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Springfield Catholic, they will take on Reeds Spring at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Fighting Irish are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
