Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Rebecca Lopez and Tessa Arnott Lead Dunlap to Victory

There's no place like home for Dunlap, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Pekin Dragons on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won five in a row.

Dunlap easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-19.

Leading Dunlap to victory were Tessa Arnott and Rebecca Lopez. Arnott had nine digs, six kills, and four aces, while Lopez had nine digs, eight kills, and one block. That's the most aces Arnott has posted over her last six matches. Caroline Holmes was another key player, getting 11 assists and five digs.

Dunlap's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Pekin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Dunlap will head out on the road to take on Limestone at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pekin, they will be taking part in a tournament against Olympia at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
