Baseball Recap: Pahokee Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Pahokee's offense. They came up short against the Lake Worth Christian Defenders on Tuesday, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Blue Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Pahokee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Putmon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That hit marked the first that Putmon has got this season.

Pahokee has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Lake Worth Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Pahokee will challenge Inlet Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Worth Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Atlantic at 3:45 p.m.
