Baseball Recap: Smith Valley Falls Short of Wells in the Playoffs

Smith Valley and Wells squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Smith Valley had to settle for second. They fell 7-4 to the Leopards. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Leopards earlier this season, when they won 12-10.

Gaston Rodriguez and Devin Gleason stepped up to the plate in a big way. Rodriguez got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Gleason went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple was Gleason's first of the season.

Smith Valley's loss dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Wells, their victory bumped their record up to 27-6.

As of now, neither Smith Valley nor the Leopards have any future games scheduled.
