Football Recap: Suffield Academy Comes Up Short

After soaring to 49 points the game before, Suffield Academy was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 41-9 loss at the hands of the Taft School Big Red. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Big Red apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2015.

This is the second loss in a row for Suffield Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-3. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.0 points over those games. As for Taft School, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Suffield Academy will welcome Phillips Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Taft School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Choate Rosemary Hall School at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
