Baseball Game Preview: Polson Pirates vs. Florence-Carlton Falcons

The Polson Pirates will face off against the Florence-Carlton Falcons at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Polson lost 12-1 to Whitefish on Tuesday.

Polson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Bird, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Holden Emerson was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Florence-Carlton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Hamilton 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since April 11, 2024.

Brodie Hinsdale made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hinsdale was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
