Recap: Centaurus Warriors vs. Windsor Wizards
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Centaurus Warriors, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were beaten by Windsor 48-0 on Saturday. Centaurus' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Chance Wood threw for 111 yards on 14 of 21 attempts. Travis Meine was his top target, picking up 51 receiving yards.
Samuel Cooper went supernova for Windsor, rushing for 213 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Cooper's longest rush was for an incredible 91 yards. Brady Lichtenberg and his 132 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Windsor's victory.
Centaurus' loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Windsor, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 10-2 record.
Centaurus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Windsor will head out on the road to face off against Ponderosa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ponderosa is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
