Basketball Recap: Walled Lake Western Takes a Loss

Walled Lake Western was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Lyon East Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since February 2, 2024.

Walled Lake Western's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for South Lyon East, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Coming up, Walled Lake Western will face off against New Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Lyon East, they will head out on the road to square off against Walled Lake Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
