Soccer Game Preview: Navarre vs. Bartram Trail

The Navarre Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Bartram Trail Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Navarre will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Bartram Trail better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Navarre really get things going. Navarre was the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over Booker T. Washington two weeks ago. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bartram Trail, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They had just enough and edged Beachside out 2-1. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Barracudas are ranked 80th), the result two weeks ago wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brooke Gosse was the driving force of Bartram Trail's attack as she scored both of Bartram Trail's goals, bringing her season total up to ten goals.

Navarre is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 48 goals over those nine contests. As for Bartram Trail, their win bumped their record up to 8-1-2.

Navarre might still be hurting after the 6-1 defeat they got from Bartram Trail when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Can Navarre avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
