Greenup County is 7-1 against Rowan County since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Musketeers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Greenup County and five for Rowan County.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 48-14, which was the final score in Greenup County's tilt against Johnson Central on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Musketeers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Rowan County played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Boyd County, falling 35-14. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Rowan County's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Greenup County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Greenup County against Rowan County when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 53-18 win. Will the Musketeers repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
