East Lyme is 6-1 against Stonington since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 4:00 p.m. East Lyme is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

East Lyme gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Killingly.

Tanner O'Brien was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Greyson Biggs also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Meanwhile, Stonington came up short against Fitch on Tuesday and fell 7-4.

Stonington also got a good showing from Matteo Panciera, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Panciera has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jace Wolfradt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Michael Keefe, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

East Lyme pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 8.8 runs this season. As for Stonington, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both East Lyme and Stonington just can't seem to miss. The Vikings have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.5 hits per game. However, it's not like Stonington struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

East Lyme couldn't quite get it done against Stonington in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-5. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
