The Pendleton Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Powdersville Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Pendleton wound up with the same score they had in their last game (6-5), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Powdersville). They never let Carolina Academy get on the board and left with a 31-0 victory on Thursday. With that win, the Patriots brought their scoring average up to 8.9 runs per game.

Lilee Lugo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lugo was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off three home runs, four RBI, and one stolen base while going 4-for-5. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high.

In other pitching news, Kylie Powell looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, Bree Woods was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Kaylie Evatt was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Powdersville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in four consecutive contests.
