Baseball Recap: Pioneer Valley Comes Up Short

The matchup between Pioneer Valley and Paso Robles on Monday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Panthers lost 16-6 to the Bearcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 1-0 loss back in April.

Pioneer Valley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Cortez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. Ivan Enriquez was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Pioneer Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Paso Robles, they pushed their record up to 14-11 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

As of now, neither Pioneer Valley nor the Bearcats have any future games scheduled.
