Recap: Clewiston Tigers vs. Lake Placid Dragons
The Clewiston Tigers waltzed into their game Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake Placid and snuck past 34-31. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Clewiston also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Clewiston's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyra Fields, who scored four points along with six rebounds and three steals. Fields hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Kalyn Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Clewiston pushed their record up to 4-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lake Placid, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Clewiston won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Avon Park at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Avon Park comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 13 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Lake Placid won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Victory Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Victory Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
