Baseball Recap: E.E. Smith Comes Up Short

E.E. Smith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-2 to the Pine Forest Trojans. If the Golden Bulls were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Trojans when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Eric Bullard Jr was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

E.E. Smith's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Pine Forest, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Pine Forest will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Lee County at 7:00 p.m. E.E. Smith will be paying especially close attention to Pine Forest's game: after Pine Forest faces off against Lee County, they'll take on E.E. Smith again at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
