Basketball Recap: Western Hills Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Western Hills Mustangs opened the new year with a less-than-successful 78-66 defeat to the Hamilton Big Blue. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mustangs came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Big Blue are ranked 461st).

Western Hills' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Hamilton, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

Western Hills will be playing at home against Aiken at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aiken will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Western Hills surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hamilton, they will square off against Colerain at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
