Basketball Recap: Franklin Road Christian Victorious

Varsity Opponent came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Franklin Road Christian, but Ben Walker wouldn't allow it. The Franklin Road Christian Minutemen walked away with a 70-60 win over Varsity Opponent on Tuesday thanks in part to Walker, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Mason Alcorn was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in January.

Franklin Road Christian's victory bumped their record up to 20-12.

Franklin Road Christian will venture away from home to face off against Zion Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Zion Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-37 defeat against Jefferson County Christian on the 4th.
