Boys Latin has gone a perfect 10-0 against Annapolis Area Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lakers are taking a road trip to challenge the Eagles at 4:15 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
Annapolis Area Christian will be up against a hot Boys Latin squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Lakers put the hurt on St. John's Catholic Prep with a sharp 11-5 win on Wednesday. The Lakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

PJ Martino was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.
In other pitching news, Cayden Musick looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Mark Windle was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Barrett, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Annapolis Area Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Indian Creek as they made off with a 16-10 victory. Annapolis Area Christian's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Like Boys Latin, Annapolis Area Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Jacob Cresanto. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cresanto was even better at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
In other pitching news, Noah Draper looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Annapolis Area Christian is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 4-7 otherwise.
Back at the plate, Annapolis Area Christian got a massive performance out of Tyler Rochon, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Roman Cobb, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Annapolis Area Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Boys Latin's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Annapolis Area Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
Annapolis Area Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Boys Latin hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. It's a different story for Annapolis Area Christian, though, as they've only averaged .246. Will they be able to contain Boys Latin's hitters?
Boys Latin took their victory against Annapolis Area Christian in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 7-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lakers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
