Basketball Recap: Chrisman Takes a Loss

Chrisman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 54-46 loss to the Salt Fork Storm. The Cardinals were down 45-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Chrisman still got an impressive performance from Gavin McCord, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Statler Mitchell, who posted ten points.

Chrisman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Salt Fork, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Chrisman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-34 loss against Watseka on the 7th. As for Salt Fork, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 38-35 victory against Milford on the 7th.
