Basketball Recap: Devon Hamilton Key Part of Team Effort in Blackhawks Win

Sheridan won the last time they faced Faith Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Blackhawks managed a 73-67 win over the Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blackhawks.

Sheridan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Devon Hamilton out in front who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave Hamilton a new career-high. Jax Peerman was another key player, shooting 43% from the field en route to 16 points and six assists.

Faith Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Luke Miller, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luke Barrett, who posted 18 points.

Sheridan's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Faith Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Sheridan will take on Clinton Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blackhawks will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Faith Christian and West Central will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
