Baseball Game Preview: West Morris Mendham Minutemen vs. Ridge Red Devil

The West Morris Mendham Minutemen will head out on the road to square off against the Ridge Red Devil at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither West Morris Mendham nor Ridge posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

West Morris Mendham managed to slip by Montville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Minutemen lost 6-0 to the Mustangs on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Minutemen have suffered since May 15, 2024.

Meanwhile, Ridge faced Seton Hall Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Red Devil fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 1-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Red Devil were not able to get on the board.

The defeat snapped West Morris Mendham's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-13 record. As for Ridge, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-4.

West Morris Mendham couldn't quite finish off Ridge in their previous meeting last Friday and fell 2-0. Can the Minutemen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
